Nagaland Governor appeals people to join Yoga Day

Nagaland Governor has appealed to people of Nagaland to participate in International Yoga Day in this great movement initiated by the Prime Minister of India and hoped that this will continue to promote a healthy mind and body.
In a message to the people of Nagaland on the special occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June, he said, Yoga is one of the most invaluable gifts of the ancient Indian tradition. It originated in India nearly 5,000 years ago, which was universally accepted as one of the most ideal practices of mankind. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body and promotes harmony amongst the people and nature. It encourages more holistic approach towards good health and happiness.
Yoga provides physical and mental well being of the people. For sound health and mind, we need to incorporate Yoga as part of our daily life. Yoga is not a religion, it is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. Man is a physical, mental and spiritual being, yoga helps promote a balanced development of all the three and appealed to all “Let us participate in the celebration of the Day and start a healthier lifestyle,” the message said.
