Mysterious disease: High level medical committee visits Chittoor District

A high level Central medical team along with District Collector PS Pradyumna and District Medical and Health Officer on Thursday visited Bathala Vallam village in Varadaiah Palem Mandal in this district where people turned ill with mysterious disease. 

 

 

 


With death of 17 members with reportedly viral fevers, District Collector has sent a detailed report to the state government which in turn wrote a letter for sending a expert medical team to find out the reason for the deaths and falling sick in the villages.Though having set up a continuous special medical camp for 45 days with experts by District Medical and Health department.

The toll raised to 18 with the death of Radhika(34) and it was said to be that the doctors of private hospital where she had been getting treatment confirmed that it was a Dengue fever. 
In response to a letter, a high level medical team came here and visited Bathala Vallam village. They inspected sanitation conditions in three Panchayats where the fevers prevailing leading to death include Bathalavallam, Karipakam and Rachakandriga. The high level central health team comprising Central Health Department Deputy Director Dr Pranav Varma, Associate Professor Dr Peeyush Jain, Consultant Dr Gavendra Singh, AP State Entomologist Deepak including DMHO and DCH from the district received representations from the villagers.
