Mumbai specialist doctors arrested for providing fake medical degrees

Agripada police, Mumbai on November 10 made the first arrest in a case where they found several specialist doctors to have submitted fake medical postgraduate degree certificates from the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS).
The police have mentioned that they have found more than 100 such people involved in the scam, around 58 of whom are MBBS students who obtained fake PG degrees from CPS. The main accused in the case is Dr. Snehal Subashchandra Nyati, a 44-year doctor from Nashik who has been booked under various Indian Penal Code sections. She was paid between 5 to 6 lakhs to procure fake certificates.
