Mumbai resident doctors to soon have fixed working hours
DNA Nov 06, 2018
Mumbai's resident doctors will soon have fixed working hours thanks to steps taken by the Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER) who has set up a college-level committee to fix this issue.
The residents currently have no such schedule in action, and this impacts their work cycle and lifestyle. Doctors continuously work more than 12 to 14 hours in a day. They have raised the issue in the past, but no action was taken. Now the draft will come for review and will be taken up by the DMER on November 15.
