MP govt approves setting up trauma centres in 51 district hospitals

The Madhya Pradesh Government on Tuesday sanctioned setting up trauma centres in all the 51 district hospitals of the state.
A decision in this regard was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here, official sources said. With the objective of improving health facilities in the state, the cabinet sanctioned the creation of 3,571 posts. Besides, the cabinet accorded permission for construction of buildings, equipment, and furniture of the institutions. The cabinet decided to upgrade the 300-bedded Morena District Hospital into a 600 bedded-facility, the 300-bedded Shivpuri District Hospital into a 400-bedded facility, the 100-bedded Sheopur District Hospital into a 200-bedded facility and the 100-bedded Indore District Hospital into a 300-bedded facility.
Similarly, the 60-bedded Dabra Civil Hospital Dabra would be upgraded into a 100-bedded facility. The 30-bedded community healthcare centres at Bairasia, Mandideep, Nasrullaganj and Bamaur would be upgraded into 50-bedded civil hospitals. A new 30-bedded community healthcare centre has been approved at Makrauniya Bujurg in Sagar and Mangilal Churia in Indore.
