Motorcycle ambulances in Maharashtra helped 3,600 persons: Minister

As many as 3,600 persons had received timely medical help due to the motorcycle ambulances operating in Mumbai, Melghat and Palghar in the state, Health Minister Deepak Sawant said on August 4.
There are 20 such ambulances operating in Mumbai and five each in Palghar and Melghat, the minister informed. Sawant said that of the 3.600 people who got treatment due to these motorcycle ambulances in the past one year, 390 were accident victims, 42 were pregnant women and 2,700 got medical help for emergencies.
