MLA to again raise issue of women & children's hospital in Aurangabad
UNI Feb 20, 2018
AIMIM MLA Imtiaz Jaleel on Monday said that he will again raise the issue of the construction of a 200-bed hospital for women and children, which has been pending since the year 2013, in upcoming Budget session of Maharashtra Assembly scheduled to commence from February 26.
Talking to media persons here, he alleged that the work was delayed due to administrative slowdown despite the official clearance for 7 acres of government land in 2013. Mr Jaleel said that he was raising the issue in the assembly since 2014 and also attracted the attention of the administration in the meeting of the District Planning Committee, he pointed. In this regard, he has already filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court, he said.
The AIMIM MLA warned that if the administration does not provide land for the hospital till March 9, he will not sit on his chair during the budget speech of state Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar and instead sit on the floor of assembly to protest against it, he added. He assured that the construction work will start soon.
