The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to establish a mini-Pediatric Intensive Care Units at block levels in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.
 

UP government spokesperson here on Wednesday said that on lines of Intensive Care Units (ICU), mini PICU will be established at block levels in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and Maharajganj districts of Gorakhpur division and Basti, Sidhharthnagar and Sant Kabeer Nagar in Basti division to provide the better treatment for children. Sources said that apart from PICU health department has instructed to renovate and repair health centers in these districts and Rs 129.11 lakh was released for the same. Government nodal agency was recruited to execute the construction and renovation works.
