Medical student commits suicide

A third year medical student committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan in his hostel room of a private medical college in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh on 29th July.
According to Police the deceased student G Pushpak Raj (20) belonged Jaggaiahpet town in Krishna district and was studying final year MBBS at Alluri Sitaramaraju Academy of Medical sciencs (ASRAM). He was staying in the college hostel located at the outskirts.
As he did not come out of his room in the evening, his colleagues went there and found him hanging to the ceiling fan. They immediately brought him down and admitted to the ASRAM hospital where the duty doctors declared him brought dead. Eluru DSP Dileep Kiran visited the scene at the College and inquired the roommates of deceased. Police registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.
