A medical officer was arrested on May 19 for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a woman colleague to facilitate her transfer, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.

"Dr Anil Waghmare was arrested after he accepted Rs 15,000 during a trap laid by the ACB at Shri Hospital in Ambad tehsil in the district," informed ACB inspector Ajinath Kashid.
