Maternity leave same for all resident doctors
The New Indian Express Mar 20, 2019
The Delhi government on March 18 issued a clarification regarding the maternity leave for female resident doctors working in government hospitals, mentioning that there will be no discrimination between permanent resident and ad hoc resident doctors.
The announcement came after a notice from Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) that was sought for help by the Delhi Medical Association. The current practice entails permanent resident doctors to 180 days of maternity leave and ad hoc resident doctors to only 84 days. DCW and the Delhi Medical Association have called out this rule as unjust.
