Maoist arrested from private clinic in Jharkhand

A hardcore Maoist of Jharkhand Jan-mukti Parishad (JJMP) was arrested from a private clinic in Medininagar in the Naxal-affected Palamau district on December 10, police said.
The Maoist was undergoing treatment at the clinic, the police said. The Maoist, identified as Sanjay Yadav, had suffered injuries after he fell down from a motorcycle at a place near Chainpur police station recently, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Palamau district, Surjeet Kumar, said.
He had initialy consulted a quack to get treated, the DSP said. As there were no signs of improvement, Yadav was left with no other option but to consult a qualified doctor, the DSP said. Yadav was then admitted to the private clinic owned by Dr Rahul Agarwal, where was undergoing treatment secretly, he said. The police carried out a raid at the clinic after getting a tip-off and arrested Yadav, the DSP added. More than a dozen cases are pending against Yadav in Latehar, Garwah and Palamau, he informed.
