Mangaluru PG doctors and interns protest after being deprived of stipend

Interns and postgraduate doctors from Wenlock Hospital, Regional Paediatric Care Centre in Mangaluru staged a protest on October 22 against non-payment of stipend.
A total of 51 interns and doctors participated in the protest, claiming that they have not been paid by the government since March this year. The doctors mentioned that despite repeated requests for stipend, and approaching officials multiple times, they have not received any pay in the last 8 months. Meanwhile, the superintendent of Wenlock Hospital, Dr. H R Rajeshwari Devi mentioned audit objection being the reason for the delay in pay.
