Man succumbs to burn injuries in south Delhi after ambulance fire

A 40-year-old man, who sustained severe burn injuries after an ambulance he was sleeping in caught fire in south Delhi's Sheikh Sarai area, succumbed on May 9, police said.
Two men, Rahul and Guddu, were charred to death on the intervening night of May 7 and 8, they added. Subodh was admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital with over 90 per cent burn injuries and died, police said. The three persons were employees of the Rana Ambulance Service in Khanpur, police said, adding that they would burn egg trays to keep mosquitoes at bay and it was suspected that the fire started from the trays. Police had said a case was registered against unidentified persons in connection with the incident.
