Man pronounced dead by doctors returns to life before autopsy

A man, who was injured in a road mishap and pronounced dead by doctors, returned to life moments before his post-mortem at the District Hospital in Chhindwara, MP, on 5 March.
Hospital sources said that the man was seriously wounded in a road accident on 4 March and was rushed to a private hospital in Nagpur where his pulse stopped beating while receiving treatment. He was declared dead by doctors and his body sent to Chhindwara, MP. His body was brought to the District Hospital at 0530 hrs where he was examined by doctors and certified dead again. His body was placed in a mortuary where it remained for four hours.
A hospital employee started to open his clothes at around 0930 hrs when his heart started beating. He immediately informed the matter to a doctor. The man was then taken to the ward and sent back to Nagpur for treatment. A dctor said that the man's heart started beating again and this happens very rarely, only one patient per lakh of population.
