Man demands compensation from state govt after wife gets pregnant post-tubectomy

A man has demanded compensation of Rs 30,000 from the UP state government after his wife got pregnant following a tubectomy procedure.
In a complaint letter addressed to the District Magistrate, Kamlesh, a resident of Bettarampura village has said that his wife had tubectomy on Deccember 11, 2017 at the camp held in the community health center Harpalpur. Recently when his wife complained of stomach pain he rushed her to the CHC where doctors confirmed that she was pregnant. The couple had decided for tubectomy after seven children. Now the poverty stricken family seeks for economic help from government to raise the eighth child. Kamlesh has attached the ultrasound report of his wife, card obtained after tubectomy with his complaint letter to the DM. Sources said DM has ordered a probe into the matter.
