Malaria takes Tripura subdivision under grip: At least 20 children admitted in hospital

The decease of malaria has taken the hilly hamlets in its grip as at least 20 children have admitted into hospital along with paramilitary jawans in the bordering subdivision of Gandacharra in the malaria drug-resistant northern Tripura district of Dhalai here recently.
According to the information, the tribal dominated hilly hamlets in the bordering subdivision have been remained under the grip of malaria recently. At least 20 children and some jawans of Tripura States Rifles (TSR) have been admitted into the subdivisional hospital with malaria and many more people with malaria have been reported to be taking treatment from quacks. But the hospital has been suffering from the lack of health staffs.
Moreover, due to the intensive vaccination of Measles-Rubella a considerable number of employees have been deployed there and as a result, the doctors and staffs on duty have been passing very tough times. However, no incident of death has been reported so far and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has assured of having all preparations and precautionary measure.
