Kerala to open autism centres for differently abled children

Aimed at bringing differently abled children to the mainstream, the Kerala government proposed to open autism centres in all the 140 assembly segments in the state in the next three years, Education Minister Prof. C Ravindra Nath today said.
Inaugurating ''Sargam'' cultural events for differently abled children at Kandamkulam Jubilee Hall here, he said experts for nursing and training would be appointed at this centres.
Experts would be appointed in the existing 36 autism centres too, he said. Deputy Opposition Leader and former Minister Dr M K Muneera, MLA presided over the function.
