Jipmer to organize training programme from Jul 31

The Department of Pharmacology, Jipmer has organized a two-day training programme on “Critical & Creative Thinking” here from July 31.


According to a Jipmer release on July 30, Tech WYNK IT Solutions, Bangalore will be conducting this workshop which covers the understanding critical thinking, process of critical thinking, a critical thinker’s skill set, dealing with assumptions, enabling creativity, logical versus lateral thinking and creative problem-solving.

Mr M.J. Vijay Kiran, a key resource person of this workshop is an expert trainer in different domains like personality development, effective communication skills, time management, professional etiquette, leadership development, creative thinking and conflict management. He has conducted multiple workshops in India as well as foreign countries like Switzerland, Netherlands and Luxemborg etc.

A total of 50 delegates from various departments like Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Anatomy, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology will be participating in this programme. The delegates include faculty, postgraduate students and Ph.D. scholars of different departments in JIPMER.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will be trained in identifying the issues and arguments, establishing context, asking questions, probing, understanding and critically evaluating the assumptions and applying the learning, the release said.
