Jawharlal Institute of Post Graduate medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has been awarded with 3rd Prize for sanitation under Kaya Kalp programme by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

According to an official statement on April 24, Dr. N. Balachandar, Officer In charge of Sanitary Unit, Mrs. Shanthi Tamizhmani, Officer Incharge of Nursing Section and Mr. C. Jesurajan, Sanitary Superintendent under the leadership of Dr. Anita Rustagi, Addl. Medical Superintendent went to New Delhi and received the award along with the cash to the tune of Rs. Fifty lakh from Union Health Minister Mr. Nadda and Anupriya Patel,union minister of state for Health and Family Welfare recently.
