Jawharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) , an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. Of India, conducted a common computer-based on-line Entrance examination for admission to MBBS course, 2019 session on June 2.

According to a Jipmer sources,the examination was held in two shifts (Morning and Afternoon) across India for filling up of 200 seats, 150 seats for JIPMER Puducherry Campus and 50 seats for Karaikal Campus. Over 1.84 lakh candidates appeared for this Entrance Examination in both the shifts. More than two thousand candidates are appeared for the examination in seven centers in Puducherry.The merit list will be published before June 21,the first counselling will be held in the last week of June and classes will commence from first week of July.
