Jharkhand ​Govt to set ​dialysis centers on PPP mode in 16 districts

The Jharkhand Government has decided to set up dialysis centers on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in 16 districts of the state.


A decision in this regard was taken​ on May 29 in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Briefing the press after the meeting Chief Secretary Sudhir Triptahi said that a total of 19 proposals were approved in the cabinet which also included a proposal to constitute 225 posts for the Trauma center and paying ward being set up in RIMS Ranchi.

He said that the cabinet has also decided to add some additional provisions in selection of beneficiaries of the Bhim Rao Ambedkar Aawas Yojana. He said that henceforth such people whose name do not feature in the socio-economic survey of 2011 and whose income is less than Rs 5000 per month and widow who are 30 years of age and are homeless or live in one room would be eligible for getting the house under the scheme.

Further it has been also decided that such families whose houses have been destroyed due to flood landslide, natural disaster or attack of elephants and fire and who are unable to build another home such families and widow will also be eligible for homes under the scheme. However, only 25 per cent beneficiaries per year would be from natural disaster sector who would be considered for homes in the scheme, Mr Tripathi added.

He said that in another key decision it was decided that salary in the universities of the state will be paid through PL accounts.
The cabinet has also approved a sum of Rs 26.52 crore for the fiscal so that the Krishi Vigyan Kendras can be developed as a breeding center for poultry, goat rearing, fisheries etc and will also be developed as district level model training center. ​​ ​

The cabinet has also decided to approve an additional funds of Rs 1.96 crore from the contingency funds of the state for making payments for the to the chief pilot, pilot, aircraft maintenance engineer, quality manager and technician for operating the Dhruv helicopter during the fiscal 2018-19.
