Investigation to be conducted in inconvenience to patients in Kalpana Chawla medical college: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that investigation would be conducted in the matter of inconvenience caused to patients in Kalpana Chawla Medical College and if anyone found guilty then action would be initiated against him.
“Our aim is to provide better medical facility to every person”, he said while replying to a question of mediapersons after reviewing the progress of construction work of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Government Medical University at Kutail village in Karnal district on August 12. He said that in the first phase, building of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Government Medical University would be ready by September 30, 2018. The building is being constructed modern technology which takes less time in construction and it would have better facilities than other institutions.
Interacting with engineers engaged on this project, the Chief Minister directed them to complete the work before time so that classes can begin from September. In case if classes could not start from September in this building then classes will be held in Kalpana Chawla Medical College for the time being. The construction work of the building of physiotherapy and nursing college is being carried out by the Hindustan Prefab Limited and is in full swing.
The engineers informed the Chief Minister that the structure of the building has been erected and it is expected that the work would be got completed before September 30. Mr Khattar said that a road would be constructed from GT road which would act as passage for the Medical University. As many as 28 acres land would be required for this passage for which farmers have been approached and soon work would start on it.
Speaking on the occasion, Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan said that this university is a big present given by the Chief Minister to the area. The setting up of this college would not only benefit people living in the nearby areas, but also people of Western Uttar Pradesh, North Haryana and other states. This would also provide employment opportunities to people of the area, he added.
