Interactive session on 'Jipmer Health Education Initiative' held

The 53rd Interactive session of the “Jipmer Health Education Initiative” focused on “Gynaecological Cancer'' was held today.
A Jipmer release said, more than 300 persons including Anganwadi workers, NSS students of various colleges and others participated in the session.
The programme focused on creating awareness about early detection of Gynaecological cancer. It has helped the people to identify early signs and to seek medical help at the initial stage. It has aimed to give an overview of treatment process.
The panel members from various specialities were Dr D Jayalakshmi, Additional professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. P. Jagadesan, Associate Professor, Department of Radiotherapy, Dr. K. Bala Mourougan, Assistant Professor, Department of General Surgery. Dr. S. Rajkumar, Senior Resident, Department of Surgical Oncology. The session was telecasted live to all Medical Colleges in South India under National Medical College Network (NMCN) Project through Jipmer Regional Resource Centre.
