Indian and Myanmar doctors to discuss health issues

Indian and Myanmar doctors for the first time will hold series of meetings to discuss about health issues faced by the two countries.
A team of 24 doctors, under the initiative of Indian Medical Association (IMA), on July 5 left Imphal for Mandalay, Myanmar. Chief Secretary of Manipur said the Moreh to Dimapur road will be widened and for that land acquisition process is on. Efforts are on to provide visa on arrival so that Myanmar citizens can reach Manipur by road, he added.
After reaching Myanmar the first Indo-Myanmar Medical Conference will be held at Mandalay under the aegis of IMA Manipur State Branch and Mandalay Medical Association, Myanmar, on July 7 . IMA Manipur State Branch State president said there will be series of scientific and medical related meetings.
CM of Saigang Region, Myanmar, Indian Consulate General , Mandalay will be coordinating the meetings at Myanmar. Dr Pragnesh Joshi, National Vice-president ,IMA Hqs, Dr RN Tandon, Dr Nelson Loitongbam Gen secy, IMA Manipur led the Indian delegation.
The Indian delegation will be facing problems only on the Indian side where road conditions are deplorable . Some of the doctors who already took part in medical camps in Myanmar said it is a different experience as people are honest and good restaurants have been opened on the Myanmar roads with best toilet facilities.
