A plasma donation portal developed by Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) last week in Hyderabad and running successfully was replicated and launched in Pune City (puneplasma.in) of Maharashtra on July 30.

The online portal was launched by the Maharashtra Chief Minister in presence of the Deputy Chief Minister, the Pune City Police Commissioner, the Pune Divisional Commissioner, and several IAS, IPS and Senior officers during the Pune Council meeting.

This online platform was very successful in Hyderabad having facilitated more than 100 donations during the last 6 days and acting as a bridge between recipients and Donors actively supported by Cyberabad Police COVID Control Room, Cyberabad said in a release here. Cyberabad Police Commissioner and the SCSC Chairman said that the donate plasma.scsc.in the portal is helping connect donors and recipients on one platform and till date, more than 100 donors and 400 registered on the link and about 100 patients were transfused with plasma donated by donors registered through the app and COVID Control Room of Cyberabad.

He said, after successful implementation of this at Hyderabad, replicating this to Pune City was a pride moment for Cyberabad Police and SCSC and all the support will be extended by SCSC in making the city adopt this portal for the benefit of citizens in need. He mentioned that all the support will be extended if any such requests come from any other states. He appreciated efforts of the SCSC General Secretary, in quickly stepping up to the current need of such a portal to fight the Corona pandemic. He during the launch event at Pune, expressed thanks to Pune Administration for adopting this online portal based on a success story in Hyderabad. He suggested that not only Pune City, but it can also be extended to the entire state.
