Hundreds of villagers including babies under attack of fever: No medical assistance yet

Amidst the heat of political activities hundred of villagers including babies reeling under the grip of fever without any medical assistance since last ten days in the remote Kalyan Singh ADC village in the bordering subdivision of Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai.
According to sources, hundreds of villagers in Rajdhan para in the village came under the attack of fever. The poverty-stricken hilly hamlet almost 70 kilometres from the district headquarters got maximum of its babies under the grip of a fever. The villagers alleged of no medical assistance yet as the only doctor Debasis Debbarma and multi-purpose worker Indrajit Choudhury from local primary health centre remained unavailable in service.
Later it revealed that the Sub Divisional Magistrate(SDM) cum Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) appointed 43 health department employees in election works. Hence the health services reached the most deplorable condition. Now, what measures the administration would adopt remained the matter to be seen.
