HC concerned over disposal of medical wastage

Allahabad High Court today directed to strictly follow the law formed in year 1998 for disposal of medical wastage of government and private hospitals. 

 

 

 

Taking a firm action on submission of wrong affidavit, the court has ordered Chief Secretary to suspend CMO who had filed wrong affidavit and instructed to submit affidavit with working report on August 28. The HC has said that it is distressing that rules are not being followed even after 19 years of its formation. It said that ruling 7 and 8 of the act should be strictly followed otherwise court will take actions under criminal contempt. Next hearing on petition will be on August 28. The Division bench of Justice Arun Tondon and Justice Rituraj Awasthi passed this order on Public Interest Litigation (PIL) of private doctors associations Aligarh. State government asked for some time with argument that report of medical wastage was sought from all districts.CMO Pratapgarh said in his report that disposal of medical wastage was underway in surveillance of pollution control board.
