Haryana Health Minister orders to suspend, register case against striking multi-purpose health workers

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on September 4 ordered to suspend and register case against multipurpose health workers, who are on strike.
The state government has already imposed Essential Services Maintenance (ESMA) Act to deal with problems due to vector-borne diseases. Mr Vij said that these workers play an important role in dealing with vector-borne diseases but their strike could land hospital in severe situation. The state government has already accepted all their demands, of which some have been sent to finance department.
These workers could express their protest through any other manner but not through absence from their duty, otherwise, strict actions would be taken against them. Directions have also been issued for videography in this regard, he added.
