Armed criminals attacked a senior government doctor in his residence in Fursatganj, Amethi on March 10, police sources said.

According to them, the doctor Anshuman Singh, was posted at the district women hospital in Raebareli and was staying at the Fursatganj community health centre government quarter. The doctor has been rushed to the Trauma centre in Lucknow, where his condition was stated to be critical. Investigations were underway, the sources added.
