Muslim Youth League (MYL), a youth wing of Indian Union Muslim League, on 24th June alleged that the Government was diverting funds meant for health care to other purposes.

Addressing media in Kozhikode, Kerala, MYL President alleged that due to the diversion of funds, meant for the medical college hospital, the Institution has crippled due to shortage of medicines and equipments.

The functioning of the cath lab has already been ceased and that the shutters of few other operation theatres including the one performing open heart surgery will be pulled down soon, he alleged. For reasons best known to the Government alone, it has not been transferring the Karunya fund also, he alleged.

All these has badly affected the smooth functioning of the hospital, he said and alleged that the Government was trying to destroy the institution as to help the private players in health care.
