Good health facilities is our commitment: UP CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the BJP Government is committed to provide better health care facilities to the poor at their door steps and therefore is building infrastructure across the state and has given direction to the officers to speed up delivery system.



“This government is bound to improve its delivery system. This is our commitment to the people of this state. We will be able to fulfill our promise if we can strengthen the health care system by providing best possible treatment to the people at their door steps,” Yogi said during inspection of district hospital on September 17.

He said that government has taken the steps to ensure that doctors come to hospitals and PHCs regularly and there is medicines available. “The patients should get medicines from the hospitals. This is our priority and we are trying to ensure this,” he said.

The Chief Minister also enquired about the status of the 100 bedded NICU section for neo-natal which is coming up in the hospital. “This region is facing the menace of encephalitis. This separate section will help in providing better facilities to the patients. The underweight children will get better treatment here,” he said.

Later, he went to a leprosy centre in Chandralok colony where he distributed sweets and fruits among the patients on the occasion of 68th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also enquired about the facilities there and asked the doctors to maintain cleanliness.

Chief Minister also asked the district officials to provide residential houses to the leprosy patients on the priority basis. The administration should also ensure that children go to school on the regular basis. These children should be taken care of, he said.

Meanwhile, the BJP workers celebrated Prime Minister’s birthday in style. They distributed sweets in the hospital while some took part in the swachchata campaign. The Government also released 68 prisoners who were released on bail, but were languishing in jail because they did not have money to pay sureity money.
