Four new cases of swine flu in Lucknow

Four new cases of swine flu have been reported in the Uttar Pradesh capital, taking the total number of cases to 15 in Lucknow this year.
Three patients suffering from swine flu are undergoing treatment in their homes while one has been admitted to Lucknow's King George Medical College.Chief Medical Officer of Lucknow, G.S. Vajpayee, said that a woman resident of Cantt area was undergoing treatment at the Army Command Hospital.The woman was admitted to the PGI here after she complained of cold and cough. During test, it was confirmed that she is suffering from swine flu.
She was later discharged from the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment at her home.Vajpayee said that a five-year-old boy, who was suffering from cold and cough, was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences.During test, it was confirmed that he is suffering from swine flu. The boy is now undergoing treatment at his home in Indiranagar.The Chief Medical Officer said that a team from the health department visited the two patients at their residences and gave them Tamiflu medicine. In addition, a 40-year-old patient presently undergoing treatment at King George Medical College was also confirmed to be suffering from swine flu.Vajpayee said that a 47-year-old woman was also confirmed to be suffering from swine flu after test at a pathology lab.The director of the pathology lab has not handed over the woman's report to the Chief Medical Officer because of which a notice is being sent to him.
