Reiterating the commitment of providing better medical facilities to patients Uttar Pradesh government has decided to upgrade district hospitals with 200 or more beds to government medical colleges.

Highly placed sources here on May 29 said, that in first phase district hospitals of Faizabad, Basti, Behraich, Firozabad and Shahjahanpur will be upgraded to government medical colleges with advanced medical facilities. Over 100 seats of MBBS will also be available in these colleges from next session. The patients from nearby districts will also be benefited with these medical colleges.
