First Govt dialysis centre inaugurated

Telangana government launched first dialysis Centre at the Government hospital here today.
Health Minister Dr K Laxma Reddy, who inaugurated the Centre along with Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, said a revolution took place in the health sector after formation of separate Telangana. People were now choosing government educational institutes and Government hospitals for education and health care respectively instead of Private.
For extending support to the kidney problem patients, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken a decision to set up 40 dialysis centers at the rural areas. Of them ,today first centre was inaugurated. Remaining would be inaugurated by this month end, Mr Harish Rao said.
The centres would work from 0900 to 2200 hours. Each centre will treat at least 20 people per day. The machinery which was imported from Japan and Germany, would give relief to the kidney patients, Mr Rao said and added the Government was also providing bus pass to them.
