Fire in Aurangabad hospital; no casualties reported

A fire broke out at a city hospital in Aurangabad at 11 am on 2nd April, and as many as 30 patients had to be rescued by firre personnel.


Fire broke out at city-based Manik Hospital near Jawaharnagar police station in Aurangabad on 2nd April. However, no casualty was reported, fire brigade sources said. The blaze broke out at around 11 am, when renovation work was going on at the ground floor of the hospital. Jawaharnagar police station staff informed the fire brigade officials, who rushed to the spot and doused the flames with the help of six fire engines. As many as 30 patients were rescued by the fire personnel. The exact reason of the blaze was yet to be ascertained, they added.
