'Fake’ doctor arrested by WB police from Guwahati hospital

UNI Apr 10, 2018

A ‘fake’ doctor was arrested from a city hospital in Kolkata on April 9 by a team of West Bengal police, following trial of an FIR lodged by a radiologist in the bordering state.

One Mithun Choudhury, who was working at the Arya Hospital, Kolkata was arrested by the police team following a complaint at  Bhawanipore police station in West Bengal by the doctor whose credentials were reportedly forged and used by Choudhury. Meanwhile, Arya Hospital authorities had also filed an FIR here against Choudhury after they detected discrepancies in the certificates and credentials submitted by him at the time of appointment. Choudhury had apparently forged the certificates of the Calcutta-based radiologist and used his registration number.
