A fake dentist was arrested in West Bengal on Friday, a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) official said.

The man was identified as Sanjit Basu at Smile Scientific Dental Care in North 24 Parganas district.Purto Bhaban, the Registrar of West Bengal Dental Council, had filed a police complaint against a number of fake dental surgeons all over the state.The CID took control of the investigation and raided Basu's clinic. "The accused has confessed to his crime," an official said.
