e-Health project to implement soon at all government hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram

All the government hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram, from primary health centre to Medical college is all set to implement the State Health Department's ambitious e-Health project.
The e-Health project has already executed at 29 health institutions, including the Government Medical College Hospital, in Thiruvananthapuram district. As part of extending the project to the remaining 83 health institutions in the state capital, an expert technical training programme of the hospital personnel has been held at the State Health Systems Resouce Centre (SHSRC) at Thucaud on May 9.
Kerala Health Minister K K Shylaja inaugurated the training programme conducted at SHSRC in which the medical superintendents and medical officers of these health institutions have attended. After implementing the e-Health project, all processes, right from outpatient registration, clinical examination and administrative processes would be fully streamlined utilising the e-Health software, making the patients' data available for effective reuse and thus making treatments easier and patient friendly, a release from the Health Minister Office said.
On the occassion, Ms Shylaja appreciated the 29 institutions, which effectively implemented the project in the first phase.
Principal secretary for Health Dr Rajan N Khobragade, NHM Kerala Mission Director Kesavendra Kumar, Health Director R L Saritha, Special officer Dr. Ajaya Kumar and other officials attended the training programme.
