Dr Suresh Rasaily, the first one to be inoculated of Corona vaccine on 16th January feels good. Speaking to UNI, he said, all is well post vaccination and I had no adverse reaction.

Like any other vaccines Corona Vaccine can give rise to mild fever, myalgia, flu like symptoms, that would indicate that it is working in the body.’ Dr Rasaily, also Head of Department, Medicine in Govt Hospital, has resumed his normal duties from 19 January. From 19 January I will be going to COVID19 Hospital for a week rotation posting also. About the 1st Corona Vaccination scenario in the State, Dr Rasaily said out of total 120 Vaccinated only few have reported the above mentioned symptoms. The symptoms could also come with lots of anxiety,’ he added.

If it is like any other Vaccine? According to Dr. Rasaily, there is no need to be scared of vaccine. On a mass immunization campaign, few dangerous side effects may be reported. Though it could be due to other causes yet blame would be on COVID vaccine, since it is a novel vaccine. Most reactions could be base used in the vaccine per say.
