Dr. Lahane to give one day to Thane medical centre

Dr. T P Lahane, the Padmashree awardee and a joint director at DMER, has offered to devote one full day for treating patients at Thane every month at the OPD set up by the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Konkan Prant.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday, Sangh Chalak of Thane Dr. Vivek Wadke said Dr. Lahane will inaugurate newly set up OPD by the Parishad on Saturday.Accepting an invitation of OPD, Dr. Lahane said he would give his services at the OPD one full day in each month for the sake of the patients.
Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) which has more than 1600 permanent service projects being run across Bharat, is an institution working on five principles -- Sampark -fellowship, Sahayog- Cooperation, Sanskari-Moral Orientation, Sevai- Service and Samarpani Commitment.The permanent service projects run by the BVP include Divyang Rehabilitation, Vanvasi Assistance, Village/Locality Integral Development, Health Care, Community Weddings and Environmental Protection.
