Dengue cases rise to 644 in HP

Himachal Pradesh which is known as safe place for the tourists destinations currently facing epidemic of dengue as about 644 patients have been registered with dengue cases after clinical analysis of about 2268 people.
Dr Sonum Negi, State Surveillance Officer of Communicable disease, said in a report issued today that till August 5, 2018 as many as 644 patients were found positive for the dengue as 23 cases turned up as 153 tested for the dengue. Bilaspur top among highly infested area as 328 patients were traced with dengue infection and 316 in Parmanoo area of Solan district, Indra Gandhi Medical College Shimla got nine patients of dengue and Dr Rajinder Prasad Medical College Tanda eight and Zonal hospital Mandi with three patients.
No death of patient take place due to timely action by the district and health authority in the state however its new cases were registered with fast rate. State is also suffering with Scrub Typhus as out of 3735 pateints were examined and 173 were found positive for the Scrub Typhus infection. During last 24 hrs one cases of Scrub Typhus as 41 tested for the mysterious fever.
Bilaspur district recorded 58 cases of Scrub typhus, Solan 27, Shimla 25 , Kangra 20 Hamirpur 15 and Sirmuar 12 cases , Chamba ten cases Tanda four cases and Mandi two cases. Scrub typus took one life in Chamba district this year. Himachal Pradesh government is countering the dengue and Scrub Typhus on the campaign level to reduce the fatality due to these communicable disease.
