Da Vinci's works the result of an eye disorder, says study
The Hindu Oct 22, 2018
A new study published in JAMA Ophthalmology, mentions that Leonardo Da Vinci's unique ability to create three-dimensional artwork came from an eye condition that the artists supposedly suffered from.
Sufferers of the eye disorder- strabismus, like Da Vinci have eyes that usually point in different conditions, with only one eye being used to process a visual. The study suggests that Da Vinci had an intermittent version of this condition, allowing him to shift from stereoscopic vision (two eyes) to monocular vision (one eye) when he was working on his creations.
