CRPFs provide medical assistance at a remote hamlet in Tripura

At least 350 villagers have taken free medical treatment and medicines as the 140th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) provided medical assistance at remote hamlet of Jagabandhu Para in the bordering subdivision of Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai.
The battalion has arranged the camp at local school field. Dr. Paifru Mog from local primary health centre (PHC) and Dr. Vijay Bahadur from CRPF treated the patients. They have also discussed elaborately on precautionary measures to prevent communicable diseases and they have also discussed on anti-addiction issues.
The Chairman of local panchayat identified as Pramod Ranjan Chakma has remarked, "The initiative of the Force is very much a gala event. Apart from government's effort if the Forces also stand by us then our plight will surely reduce in a great way". In the programme, the Second-in-command of the battalion Manmadan Krishnan, Sub Divisional Police Officer(SDPO) of Gandacharra Thaiton Tripura and others have remained present.
