CPI (M) ransacks Hospital of Sangh Parivar, attacks staff

A 15-member gang of CPI(M) ransacked Attukal Hospital run by Sangh Parivar and attacked the staff, here on Sunday evening.
Police said the gang tried to forcefully enter the emergency room to see a man who was brought there after an accident. When the staff opposed it, they were severely manhandled by the gang.Hospital Superintendent Dr Praksh, Manager Suresh, Lab Technicians Suheer and Sreejith, and Nurses, Suja and Parvathy were attacked by the 15-member gang, who damaged furniture and equipment worth five lakh.
Though the Hospital authorities informed it to the Fort Police Station, a police team reached the spot after two hours.
BJP MLA O Rajagopal who visited the spot alleged that the police who failed to reach the spot immediately was helping the culprits to ransack the hospital.
