According to a statement issued by the government, the percentage of COVID deaths was higher in 11 hospitals in Delhi from July 1 to July 23. The committees set up to inspect the hospitals will examine whether the standard protocols for treating COVID patients are being followed, analyse the reasons for the higher number of COVID deaths and the cause if the death(s) of the COVID patient/s occurred in the ward. These four committees have 4 specialists each, two from internal medicine and two from anaesthesia. Each committee will inspect the allotted hospitals and give their analysis and suggestions for better care of COVID patients. The committees will submit their reports by August 3.
