Coimbatore doctors demand better pay & promotion from Collectorate

About 250 doctors working in the Government Hospital at Coimbatore tried to besiege the district Collectorate on August 24 to press their demands, including pay and promotion on par with the Central government doctors, police said.
The doctors holding placards raised slogans seeking dearness allowances and super-grade pay that was delayed for the past seven years, the police said.
