Civil Surgeon held taking Rs 20,000 bribe

A civil surgeon was October 11 caught red-handed by Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta's Special Police Establishment while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000, said Lokayukta sources.
Civil Surgeon VP Patel had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the hospital's drug store in-charge RK Shukla – who had tendered resignation from his post due to pressure from management – for his reinstatement. On the basis of Mr Shukla's complaint, Lokayukta police laid a trap and arrested the accused.
