AP Minister inaugurates 20 Tele-medicine centres

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Monday inaugurated 20 Tele-medicine centres at a programme held here and called upon those who had reached high positions in the society to come forward to uplift the poorer sections.
The Teleemedicine centres was set up with the cooperation of Tata Trust in Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency. The Finance Minister congratulated Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas for taking up several development programmes in 265 villages of his Parliamentary Constituency with the cooperation of Tata Trust.
He thanked Ratan Tata Trust for taking up several programmes in Vijayawada Parliamentary Constituency for economic development of villages. Stating that development of any region would be possible with education and health, the Minister said that the state government has allotted Rs. 7,300 crore for health sector.
Mr. Ramakrishnudu praised the services of the MP for providing health care to rural people under Swasta Kutumbam scheme of Tata Trust. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas said that 20 Tele-medicine centres was set up to protect the health of people in all the villages.
The Tata Trust helped to construct 72,000 toilets in 265 villages of Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency, he said, adding that Ratan Tata came forward to develop villages in the constituency.
Tata Trust South Zone Head Pavitra Kumar said the Tele-medicine centres were inaugurated to improve health of rural people. He said the Tata Trust would enter into an MoU with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to take up a programme to prevent cancer disease. MLAs T Sowmya, Sriram Rajgopal and Collector B Lakshmikantam were among those who are present on the occasion.
