AP CM inaugurates health festival in Vizag

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on June 21 inaugurated the AP Medical Tourism Hub (AMRIT) as part of the ongoing Health Festival in the Port City.
Speaking after inaugurating the health festival, he said the state government was determined to leverage technology in health care. He detailed the steps of government in the health sector to provide benefits to the general public. With the financial assistance from the World Bank, the health care system would be strengthened and the functioning of ANM Centres, which were below the level of the Primary Health Centres (PHCs), would be streamlined with two doctors and two ANMs at each centre, he said.
He also spoke of the five new initiatives launched by the government and noted that the e-Sub centres would help patients in remote areas to consult doctors at the e-Sub centre hubs in the port city and other cities. The Chief Minister who also launched an Radio-frequency identification (RFID) and a dialysis centre at Kuppam through remote spoke of his efforts to adopt the best healthcare practices followed in the world.
